Holistic Psychotherapy & Consultation for the Mind, Body, and Spirit.

Introducing Jessica

Jessica with long, wavy brown hair smiling in front of a green leafy background.

I’m a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist, independently practicing in New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. I hold a Master of Social Work from Boston College and bring experience from diverse settings—including in-home and outpatient therapy, a community health center, and private practice.

My clinical focus includes trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, LGBTQIA+ concerns, chronic illness and pain, and EMDR consultation. Working within interdisciplinary medical environments has shaped my holistic approach, helping clients integrate physical and emotional wellness. I specialize in mind-body interventions like EMDR and mindfulness-based therapies, which I’ve found to be especially effective in supporting meaningful, lasting change.

Services

  • I have specialized training in evidenced-based modalities for treating anxiety, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Exposure-based therapies.

  • Working in a medical setting has given me extensive experience in supporting clients struggling with acute or chronic illness. I am also certified in Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT). Each therapeutic intervention I utilize in my practice takes physical health and wellness into account.

  • As an EMDRIA approved Consultant-in-Training, I can provide 15/20 hours needed for clinicians pursuing EMDR Certification.

  • As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I am passionate about supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals. I have experience writing letters and other documentation that supports gender-affirming surgery.

  • I treat mood disorders such as depression and Bipolar-spectrum disorders, using cognitive, behavioral, and psychodynamic approaches. I am happy to coordinate care with medication prescribers as needed to ensure continuity of care.

  • I’m an EMDR Certified Therapist, using this mind-body approach to help clients process and release trauma. My work is IFS-informed, integrating parts work, inner child work, and ego state therapy into EMDR and talk therapy. I also draw from Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and treat complicated grief with Prolonged Grief Disorder Therapy.

Jessica’s Approach

I am deeply committed to supporting adults 18 and older who have experienced difficult life events and are seeking to improve their mental and physical health. My practice focuses on creating a safe, supportive environment where clients can process trauma and heal using evidence-based, holistic interventions. I specialize in modalities like EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and Pain Reprocessing Therapy, alongside mindfulness-based and somatic approaches. These tools help clients not only survive, but thrive, by healing the mind-body connection.

I believe in the power of resiliency, yet understand the exhaustion that comes from constant survival mode. It’s okay to let your guard down with me. I see therapy as a partnership where we work together to help you develop a healthier relationship with yourself, others, and the world around you. My training in IFS, ego state therapy, and inner child work also informs my approach, allowing for deep emotional processing.

As an EMDR Certified Therapist and IFS-informed, I take an integrative approach to healing that combines both mind and body. I have specialized training in treating complicated grief, anxiety, depression, and mood disorders, and use modalities like ACT, CBT, and Prolonged Grief Disorder Therapy. I also work closely with clients on cultural competency, as many of those I serve have experienced marginalization. My practice is anti-racist, LGBTQIA+-affirming, and neurodiversity-affirming.

I’m a newer clinician and have been receiving clinical consultation with Jessica for about a year. I have felt my confidence and capacity to engage in clinical assessments and interventions grow under her guidance. She offers positive reflections, gentle call in’s and accountability, and I’m deeply grateful for her support in navigating this complex work of holding somatic, affirming and liberation-oriented space for clients while honoring our professional license. I have hope of longevity in the field because of her mentorship!

I also coordinate care with prescribers when necessary to ensure continuity of treatment.

I’m also an EMDRIA approved Consultant-in-Training, offering support to clinicians pursuing EMDR Certification. Every intervention I utilize in therapy takes into account the interconnectedness of mental, emotional, and physical health.
